1. Different milling methods. According to different processing conditions, in order to improve the durability and productivity of the tool, different milling methods can be selected, such as up-cut milling, down milling, symmetrical milling and asymmetrical milling.
2. When cutting and milling successively, each tooth is continuing to cut, especially for end milling. The fluctuation of the milling cutter is relatively large, so vibration is inevitable. When the vibration frequency and the natural frequency of the machine tool are the same or multiples, the vibration is more serious. In addition, high-speed milling cutters also require frequent manual cycles of cold and heat shocks, which are more prone to cracks and chipping, which reduce the durability.
3. Multi-tool and multi-edge cutting, there are more milling cutters, and the total length of the cutting edge is large, which is conducive to improving the durability and production productivity of the cutter, and has many advantages. But this only exists in these two aspects.
First, the cutter teeth are prone to radial runout, which will cause unequal load of the cutter teeth, uneven wear, and affect the quality of the processed surface; second, the cutter teeth must have sufficient chip space, otherwise the cutter teeth will be damaged.
4. High productivity The milling cutter rotates continuously during milling, and allows a higher milling speed, so it has a higher productivity.
